When a tooth is gone, the bone that held it starts to shrink. The teeth beside it drift into the space, and your bite shifts with them. Chewing, speaking and smiling all change, a little at a time.
An implant replaces the root as well as the tooth. A titanium post sits in the jawbone, where it helps preserve the bone, and it doesn’t lean on the neighboring teeth for support. You brush and floss it like your own teeth, and it never comes out for cleaning.

Our cone beam CT scanner makes a 3D map of your jawbone, nerves and sinuses. We know where each implant should go before we begin.
Surgical guides we design and print
From that scan, we design a custom surgical guide and 3D-print it in the office. It holds the implant to the position, angle and depth we planned.
A digital scan, not a mold
Our iTero scanner records your mouth digitally, with no goopy impression material. That scan is what your final crown is designed from.

Single-tooth implant
A titanium post and a custom porcelain crown replace one tooth. It looks and works like the tooth you lost, and it protects the bone underneath.
Implant-supported bridge
Missing several teeth in a row? Two implants can hold a bridge that replaces three or more teeth, without grinding down the healthy teeth next to them.
Implant-supported dentures
If your denture slips, it can snap onto implant posts instead. You eat, talk and laugh without wondering whether it will move.
Full-arch replacement
A whole arch of teeth on as few as four to six implants. A fixed set that stays in: no adhesive, no taking it out every day.

What to expect
Four steps, and a written plan before the first one.
The bone needs three to six months to heal around an implant, so most of the time between placement and your final tooth is simply healing. Here’s how it goes.
Consultation and 3D scan.
We take a CBCT scan to see your bone, go over your health history, and talk about what you want. You leave with a written care plan and the full cost.
Placing the implant.
Using the surgical guide printed from your scan, Dr. Marino or Dr. Marquez places the titanium post under local anesthesia. If you’re anxious, ask us about sedation.
Healing.
Over three to six months, the implant fuses with your jawbone (osseointegration). When it makes sense for your case, a temporary restoration fills the space in the meantime.
Your final tooth.
Once it’s healed, we attach your custom porcelain crown, bridge or denture, designed to blend in with the teeth around it.

A single implant with its crown typically ranges from $3,000 to $5,000, depending on what your mouth needs. After your scan, your written plan shows the exact cost of each step.
Have dental benefits?
You can still use them here. Altamar doesn’t participate in insurance networks, so you pay Altamar directly — our team submits your claim, and any reimbursement your plan owes goes straight to you.
Spreading out the cost
We accept CareCredit, and HFD offers longer terms for larger plans. You can pre-qualify with HFD before you come in.

Are dental implants painful?
We place implants under local anesthesia, and because the surgery is planned on a 3D scan and guided, it disturbs less tissue. Most patients are back to their normal activities within one to two days.

How long do dental implants last?
With good care, 20 to 30 years, or even a lifetime. The titanium post fuses with your jawbone, and unlike a natural tooth, it can’t decay.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
Most adults with missing teeth are. Your CBCT scan shows us your bone density, where the nerves run and how close the sinuses are, and that tells us the right approach. Some bone loss doesn’t necessarily rule you out.
What if I have bone loss in my jaw?
Bone loss doesn’t automatically rule out implants. The 3D scan shows exactly how much bone is there, and if more is needed, bone grafting can rebuild the foundation. When a tooth is extracted here, we can place the graft at the same visit. We’ll go through every option with you at your consultation.
Implants or dentures: which is better?
Implants replace the root, so they help preserve the jawbone and work much like natural teeth. A traditional denture rests on the gums, and the bone underneath can shrink over time.
It doesn’t have to be one or the other. Many of our patients have moved from a traditional denture to one that snaps onto implants.
