Altamar Dental Studio is independent, family-owned and unrestricted. We don’t hold insurance contracts, and we aren’t owned by a dental service organization. That’s a deliberate choice, and it changes the practice in three concrete ways.
Nobody outside the room decides your treatment. When a practice is in-network, the plan sets the fee schedule, and the fee schedule quietly shapes what gets recommended and how fast it has to happen. Here, the treatment plan is built between you and your dentist. That’s the whole list of people involved.
Appointments are scheduled to be unhurried. We see fewer patients in a day than a production-model office does. That’s not an efficiency problem we’re working on — it’s the design. It’s what makes room for the questions you actually came in with.
You see the same two doctors. Not whoever is covering that day. Continuity is most of what makes long-term dental care work, and it’s the first thing that disappears in a high-turnover practice.
Altamar is led by Dr. Julio C. Marino and Dr. Shirley Marquez — two doctors who built this practice rather than inherited one. Dr. Marquez is fluent in English and Spanish, and sees patients in both.

This is the question most people actually have, so we’ll answer it directly rather than make you call to find out.
A new patient comprehensive exam and cleaning is $109. That includes the full exam, necessary imaging, and a cleaning — not a teaser that turns into something else once you’re in the chair.
For ongoing care without insurance, the Altamar Smile Club is our membership plan — a flat cost that covers preventive visits and discounts the rest, with no deductibles, no annual maximum, and no claim that can be denied. For larger treatment, we offer third-party financing.
If you have out-of-network benefits, we’ll provide the documentation you need to file for reimbursement. Many plans cover a meaningful portion.
You’ll be greeted by name. Before anyone looks in your mouth, one of the doctors will sit down and ask what brought you in — including the parts that aren’t strictly clinical. If it’s been years since your last visit, say so. It’s a more common story than you think, and nobody here is going to make you feel bad about it.
From there: a comprehensive exam, imaging as needed, and a conversation about what we found — in plain language, with the reasoning shown. If treatment is needed, you’ll leave knowing what it is, what it costs, and what happens if you wait. If nothing is needed, we’ll tell you that too.

Our studio is at 6605 Hillway Circle, Suite 100, in Naples — convenient to East Naples, Lely and Lely Resort, Golden Gate, Golden Gate Estates, Downtown Naples, Old Naples, Park Shore, and the Vineyards, with patients coming from Marco Island and across Collier County.
Seasonal residents: we see a lot of them. If you’re in Naples from November through April and need a dental home while you’re here, we can coordinate with your practice up north and schedule your care around the months you’re in town. You don’t need to postpone treatment until you fly back.
Altamar has been family-owned in Naples since 2019. We support Warrior Homes of Collier County, FC Naples, Naples Cancer Advisors, and local wellness initiatives — not as a marketing line, but because this is where we live.

We’re unrestricted, which means we don’t bill insurance directly. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, we’ll give you the itemized documentation to submit for reimbursement, and many patients get a meaningful portion back. If you don’t have insurance at all, the Altamar Smile Club is usually the better math.
$109 for a comprehensive exam, necessary imaging, and a cleaning. If you need additional treatment, you’ll get the cost in writing before anything is scheduled.
