Your first visit
It starts with a conversation.
Before anyone looks in your mouth, Dr. Marino or Dr. Marquez sits down with you and asks what brought you in — including the parts that aren’t strictly clinical. If it’s been years since your last visit, say so. It’s more common than you think, and nobody here will make you feel bad about it.
Then comes a thorough exam and a plain-language conversation about what we found, with the reasoning shown. If you need treatment, you’ll leave knowing what it is, what it costs, and what happens if you wait. If you don’t, we’ll tell you that too.
New patient visit

- Oral cancer screening and a gum health assessment

*If your gums need periodontal care first, we’ll explain why and schedule that cleaning separately. Plan on about 90 minutes.

You can still use them here. Altamar doesn’t participate in insurance networks, so you pay Altamar directly — our team submits your claim, and any reimbursement your plan owes goes straight to you.

The Altamar Smile Club starts at $360/year and covers your preventive care plus meaningful savings on treatment.
Spreading out the cost
Payment is due at the time of your visit. We accept cash, credit and debit cards, CareCredit and HFD financing. For larger plans, you can pre-qualify with HFD before you come in, with no hard credit pull.

How much is a first visit?
$109. That includes a complete exam with Dr. Marino or Dr. Marquez, full-mouth digital X-rays, an iTero scan and intraoral photos, an oral cancer screening, a gum assessment, a cleaning when appropriate, and a written care plan. If you need further treatment, you’ll get the cost in writing before anything is scheduled.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. If you’re here from November through April, we can coordinate with your dentist up north and schedule your care around the months you’re in town, so you don’t have to postpone treatment until you fly back.
I haven’t been to a dentist in years. Is that a problem?
No, and it’s more common than you’d guess. We’ll look at where things actually stand and build a plan you can work through in stages. Nobody is going to lecture you. If anxiety is part of why it’s been a while, ask about sedation options.
