LEARN ABOUT SMILE CLUBYour first visit to Altamar Dental Studio is more than just a checkup—it's the beginning of a relationship built on trust, transparency, and personalized care. Plan for approximately 90 minutes so we have time to get to know you and your oral health needs without rushing.
Our team will greet you at reception, verify your information, and give you a brief tour of our office. You'll see our treatment rooms, meet some of our team, and get a feel for the calm, refined environment we've created.
Dr. Marino or Dr. Marquez will conduct a thorough exam using our advanced digital technology—including full-mouth X-rays, iTero digital scanning (no goopy impressions!), intraoral photos, oral cancer screening, and gum health assessment.
We'll review our findings together on a chairside monitor so you can see exactly what we see. This isn't a lecture—it's a conversation. We'll discuss any concerns, answer your questions, and create a personalized treatment plan based on your goals and priorities.
If time permits and your gums are healthy, we'll complete your professional cleaning the same day. If you need periodontal treatment or we're running short on time, we'll schedule your cleaning for a separate appointment to ensure it's done thoroughly.
You'll receive a detailed, written treatment plan to take home. We'll discuss costs upfront—no surprises—and explore payment options including our Smile Club membership and CareCredit financing.
Before you leave, we'll schedule your next hygiene appointment and any necessary dental procedures. We'll also set up appointment reminders via text and phone call.
We'll need to verify your identity for our records.
Please bring a list of all medications you're currently taking, including dosages. This helps us provide safe, appropriate care.
Even though we're a self-pay practice, we'll submit claims to your insurance company as a courtesy if you have out-of-network benefits.
If you have recent dental X-rays (taken within the last 6 months), we're happy to review them. However, we typically take new X-rays to ensure we have current, comprehensive information.
We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and CareCredit. Payment is due at the time of service.
We'll email your new patient forms before your appointment. If you're unable to complete them in advance, please arrive 15 minutes early to fill them out and still start your appointment on time.
Free parking is available directly in front of our office in East Naples.
Please arrive 15 minutes early for your new patient appointment. This gives us time to verify your information and ensures your appointment starts on time.
Our reception team will be expecting you! They'll greet you warmly, verify your paperwork, and guide you through the check-in process. If you have any questions about insurance, payment, or what to expect, they're here to help.
We're proud to serve Naples' diverse community. Our team speaks:
Our office is wheelchair accessible. If you have any special needs or accommodations we should know about, please let us know when you schedule your appointment.
While we don't typically offer sedation for evaluations, we provide nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral sedation (Halcion) for dental procedures when needed. We'll discuss these options if treatment is recommended.
Your dental records belong to you. While we don't currently offer a patient portal, your records are available upon request at any time. Just let us know and we'll be happy to provide them.
We believe in complete transparency when it comes to costs. You'll always know what to expect before any treatment begins.
Payment is expected when services are rendered. We accept cash, all major credit cards, debit cards, and CareCredit.
We'll always discuss treatment costs before proceeding. No surprises, no hidden fees—just straightforward, honest communication about what things cost.
We highly recommend joining our Smile Club at your first visit. For $360/year (individual) or $560+ (family), you'll receive comprehensive preventive care plus significant discounts on all treatments. Your $109 new patient special fee can be applied toward membership!
We accept CareCredit and can help you apply during your visit. CareCredit offers flexible payment plans that make larger treatments more manageable.
We're a self-pay practice and don't participate with insurance networks. However, we'll submit your claim to your insurance company as a courtesy. Any out-of-network reimbursement will be sent directly to you.
Every patient receives a detailed, written treatment plan to take home. This includes recommended treatments, estimated costs, and timeline—so you can make informed decisions on your own schedule.
When you schedule an appointment at Altamar Dental Studio, we reserve that time exclusively for you. Our doctors and team prepare for your visit, block off that slot in our schedule, and turn away other patients who may need that time.
We understand that life happens—unexpected emergencies, illness, and schedule conflicts are part of being human. We're always willing to work with you when circumstances change.
However, to be fair to all of our patients and our team, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to modify or cancel your appointment. This gives us the opportunity to offer that time to another patient who may need care.
If an appointment is cancelled or missed without 48 hours notice, there will be a $100 fee. This helps us maintain our commitment to providing unhurried, personalized care to every patient.
We genuinely appreciate your understanding and cooperation. This policy helps us serve you and all of our patients better, ensuring everyone receives the time and attention they deserve.

We are a self-pay practice and do not participate with insurance networks. However, as a courtesy, we'll submit your claim to your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits. The Smile Club is an annual membership ($360 individual, $560+ family) that includes two comprehensive exams, two cleanings, X-rays, and 20-35% discounts on all treatments. If you join the Smile Club at your first visit, we'll apply your $109 toward the membership fee. It's by far the best long-term value.
