Payment is due at the time of your visit. If you’d rather spread the cost of a larger treatment plan into monthly payments, two financing providers work with Altamar: HFD and CareCredit.

You’ll know the cost before you decide anything.
A written plan, with costs
After your exam, Dr. Marino or Dr. Marquez gives you a written treatment plan that lists each step and what it costs. Nothing starts until you’ve said yes.
Payment at the time of service
We accept cash, credit and debit cards, CareCredit and HFD financing. HSA and FSA cards work like any other card.

You can pre-qualify with HFD before you come in, or apply for CareCredit online or with our help in the office.

For larger treatment plans
HFD offers payment plans with longer terms for comprehensive treatment. You can pre-qualify online in a few minutes, before your visit.

Pre-qualification is a soft credit check and doesn’t affect your credit score. If you accept an offer and go ahead with a full application, HFD may run a hard credit inquiry. Terms and eligibility depend on HFD.
CareCredit
A healthcare credit card
CareCredit is a credit card for health and dental care, accepted by many providers nationwide. The credit line can be used again for ongoing care.

CareCredit’s promotions are deferred interest on qualifying purchases: if the promotional balance isn’t paid in full by the end of the promotional period, interest can be charged from the purchase date. Terms and eligibility depend on CareCredit, so check their current terms before you apply. CareCredit can’t be combined with Smile Club savings.

You can still use them here. Altamar doesn’t participate in insurance networks, so you pay Altamar directly — our team submits your claim, and any reimbursement your plan owes goes straight to you.
Smile Club members
Smile Club savings can’t be combined with CareCredit, with dental insurance, or with any other discount. If you’re a member and thinking about financing a larger plan, ask us and we’ll go over your options before you decide.
Altamar Smile Club
No benefits? The Altamar Smile Club starts at $360/year and covers your preventive care plus meaningful savings on treatment.

Financing FAQ
Is there a hard credit pull when I pre-qualify with HFD?
No. HFD’s pre-qualification uses a soft inquiry that doesn’t affect your credit score. A hard inquiry may happen only if you accept a financing offer and go ahead with a full application.
Can I use financing for any treatment?
Financing can generally be used for the treatment we provide, from a single crown to Invisalign or a larger treatment plan. Approval and the amount you can finance are up to the provider.
What are the repayment terms?
They depend on the provider and on your approval. HFD focuses on longer payment plans for larger treatment. CareCredit offers promotional financing on qualifying purchases, which is deferred interest. Check each provider’s current terms, and ask us if you’d like help comparing them.
Can I combine financing with the Smile Club?
Not with CareCredit. Smile Club savings can’t be combined with CareCredit, dental insurance or any other discount. If you’re a member considering financing, ask us and we’ll explain your options.
Do I need to apply before my appointment?
No. You can pre-qualify with HFD online beforehand if you’d like to know your options early, or apply for CareCredit online or with our help at the office.
