Emergency dentist in Naples, FL
Emergency visit
- An exam with Dr. Marino or Dr. Marquez
- The X-rays we need to find the cause
- Diagnostic photos
- A clear explanation of what’s wrong and what your options are
Any treatment you need is separate. We’ll tell you what it is and what it costs before we start.
When we’re open
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday, Saturday, Sunday: closed
Call during these hours and tell us what’s happening. We’ll ask a few questions so we know how urgent it is.
After hours
We don’t have an after-hours emergency number, and we’re closed Thursdays and weekends. If you have trouble breathing, bleeding you can’t control, or a severe allergic reaction, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If a problem is urgent — a knocked-out tooth, fast-spreading swelling, or severe pain — don’t wait for us to open. Go to an emergency dentist or urgent care that’s open now.
Is this an emergency?
Some things can’t wait. Some can.
A dental emergency is anything that needs attention now to stop bleeding, relieve severe pain, or save a tooth. Knowing the difference gets you the right care at the right time — and keeps our emergency time open for the people who need it most.
Call us right away
Severe tooth pain
Intense, throbbing pain that keeps you from sleeping or getting through the day. It often means an infection or abscess.
A knocked-out tooth
If an adult tooth has come out completely, every minute counts. The sooner it’s seen — ideally within 30 minutes — the better the chance of saving it.
Bleeding that won’t stop
Bleeding that continues after 10–15 minutes of steady pressure, especially after an injury or an extraction.
Swelling in the face, jaw or neck
Noticeable swelling can mean a serious infection that needs treatment quickly.
A broken or loosened tooth after an injury
Fractured, cracked or badly loosened teeth from a fall, a sport or an accident.
A front tooth before something important
Damage to a front tooth right before a wedding, a presentation or another event that matters to you.
Usually fine for a regular visit
A mild toothache
Some sensitivity or discomfort that over-the-counter pain relief keeps under control.
A lost filling or crown
It needs attention soon, but it isn’t usually an emergency unless it’s causing severe pain.
A small chip
If it doesn’t hurt and isn’t easy to see, we can schedule it at a time that suits you.
Food caught between teeth
Unless it’s very painful, floss or an interdental brush at home usually solves it.
A dull ache that’s been there a while
Mild discomfort that has lasted days or weeks should be looked at, but it can wait for a regular appointment.
Broken braces or a broken retainer
Annoying, but it rarely needs emergency treatment.
Not sure which list you’re on? Call (239) 260-5968 and ask. That’s what we’re here for.
What we can do
Emergency dental treatment, in our Naples office.
Pain relief
We find where the pain is coming from and relieve it — with medication, by draining an infection, or by treating the tooth itself.
Infections and abscesses
We drain the infection, prescribe antibiotics if you need them, and plan how to treat the cause so it doesn’t come back.
Injuries to the teeth
Knocked-out teeth, fractures and loosened teeth. With trauma, the sooner we see you, the more we can usually do.
Extractions
We always try to save a tooth first. When one can’t be saved, Dr. Marino or Dr. Marquez removes it here, carefully and with as little discomfort as possible.
Repairs
A lost crown, a broken filling or a fractured tooth can often be repaired at the same visit, either temporarily or for good.
Finding the cause
Every emergency visit includes a proper look at why it happened. Treating the symptom is the start; preventing the next emergency is the goal.

You’ll see your images on the monitor beside the chair, and we’ll explain exactly what we see before anything is done.

We explain your options.

We plan what comes next.
We book any follow-up visits and give you clear instructions for home so you heal well.
Why Altamar in an emergency
When you’re in pain, it helps to know who’s treating you.
The owners treat you
Dr. Julio Marino or Dr. Shirley Marquez sees you — not whoever happens to be on shift. In English or Spanish.
Answers in the office
Digital X-rays and CBCT 3D imaging are here, so we can find the problem quickly and plan the right treatment.
The cause, not just the pain
We look at why it happened and build a plan for the long term, so you’re less likely to be back in pain.
Costs before treatment
You’ll know what treatment costs before it starts. Our recommendations are based on what you need.
A calm room
Even on a bad day, you’ll be treated with patience and respect, and nobody will rush you.
Help if you’re nervous
Nitrous oxide and oral sedation are available here for treatment when they help. About sedation →

Emergency dental FAQ
Can you see me today?
Call us during office hours — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday — and we’ll see you the same day.
Call (239) 260-5968 and tell us what’s going on.
How much is an emergency visit?
$150. That includes an exam, the X-rays we need and diagnostic photos. Any treatment is separate, and we’ll go over it and its cost with you before we begin.
What if it happens at night, on a Thursday or on the weekend?
We don’t have an after-hours emergency number. For anything life-threatening — trouble breathing, bleeding you can’t control, a severe allergic reaction — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If it’s urgent — a knocked-out tooth, swelling that’s spreading, or pain you can’t manage — don’t wait for us to open; go to an emergency dentist or urgent care that’s open now.
If it can wait, call us when we open — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM — and we’ll see you that day.
I knocked out a tooth. What should I do?
Every minute counts — ideally the tooth is seen within 30 minutes. Pick it up by the top (the crown), not the root. Don’t scrub it. Keep it in milk or tucked inside your cheek.
During office hours, call us right away at (239) 260-5968. If we’re closed, go to an emergency dentist or emergency room that’s open now.
Is a lost filling or crown an emergency?
Usually not, unless it’s causing severe pain. It does need attention soon, so call and we’ll find you a time.
Will you just stop the pain, or fix the problem?
Both. We relieve the pain first, then look for the cause. Many problems can be treated at the same visit; for the rest, we’ll explain the longer-term fix and plan it with you.
Can I use my dental insurance?
Yes. Altamar doesn’t participate in insurance networks, so you pay Altamar directly — our team submits your claim, and any reimbursement your plan owes goes straight to you. How using your benefits works →
Do you see emergencies for people who aren’t patients yet?
Yes. You don’t need to be a patient — call us and we’ll see you. When we can, we’ll turn your emergency visit into a full exam, so you leave with the complete picture and not just a quick fix.
In pain right now? Call us.
The sooner we see you, the more we can usually do. We’ll answer in English or Spanish.
